Stride ("we", "our", or "the app") is a digital wellness app that helps you reduce mindless phone use by requiring you to meet a daily step goal before accessing selected apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
a) Account Information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. This is used to identify your account and sync your data across devices.
b) Physical Activity Data
Stride uses your device's step counter sensor to count your daily steps. This data is stored locally on your device and synced to our servers to maintain your streak and history.
c) App Usage Data
Stride uses Android's Usage Stats permission to detect which app is in the foreground so it can enforce your chosen app locks. We do not transmit the list of apps you use to our servers — this data stays on your device only.
d) Usage History
We store your daily step count, step goal, whether you met your goal, and your streak data. This is saved both locally on your device and in our cloud database linked to your account.
e) Purchase Information
If you purchase Stride Pro, the transaction is handled by Dodo Payments. We only store whether your account has an active Pro entitlement — we do not store your payment card details.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data is protected by row-level security policies — only you can read or write your own data. Your session is stored securely on your device using Android's encrypted SharedPreferences.
Stride uses the following third-party services:

We retain your account and step history data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
Stride is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
