Grading Criteria

An overall grade will be calculated from the following weighted categories:

• Homework/SAT Practice (15%)
• Participation/Notebook Check (20%)
• Quizzes (25%)
• Tests/Finals (40%)

Each student’s grade should reflect their commitment to growing their understanding of mathematics. Therefore, frequent assessments of varying types/sizes will take place in order to measure student understanding.

Letter grades will be awarded based on the following final grade calculations:

Grading Scale:

• A 100%-90%
• B 89%-80%
• C 79%-70%
• D 69%-60%
• F 59%-50%
