B'nai Shira remembers Cvia Tsila Rodin, who lived a life dedicated to making the world a better place. A native of Kaunas, Lithuania, she was born on July 13, 1936, to Chaim and Batya Karabelnikov Neuerman.
Cvia was an amazing person, full of light and life. She gave selflessly to others as an educator, an art enthusiast, a true renaissance woman and and eshet chayil. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Cvia Rodin left us at the age of 80 on Monday, Sept. 5, 2016. She was in her Rockledge, Florida home surrounded by her family.
She left us all an amazing legacy of love and respect. She always wanted to share her story with others, and you can read about her incredible life here in her book. It describes her personal journey – from a child of the Holocaust to a daughter of Israel as she makes her way to the promised land.
In Cvia Rodin's honor, we have set up an educational fund for the purpose of teaching future generations about the Shoah and the realization of the State of Israel. Feel free to read or download her book. If you would like to donate any amount in Cvia's honor, please click here.
