Our extension stores minimal data locally on your device to provide functionality:

Auto-show preference (whether to automatically display QR codes)
QR code display position (where you've moved the QR code on screen)

We do not track your browsing history
We do not collect any data about you or your YouTube usage beyond the current video being viewed
The minimal data we store is used solely to:
Remember your preference for auto-showing QR codes
Save the position where you've moved the QR code display
Provide the core functionality of generating QR codes for YouTube videos
All user data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage APIs
Settings are synced across your Chrome browsers if you're signed into Chrome
We do not transmit your personal data to external servers
No user data is shared with third parties
To create QR codes, our extension uses external QR generation services:
api.qrserver.com
chart.googleapis.com (Google Charts API)
These services only receive the YouTube video URL to generate the QR code image. No personal information is sent to these services.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Settings and preferences are retained until you uninstall the extension
You can clear all stored data by uninstalling and reinstalling the extension
No data is retained on our servers (as we don't have any)
You have the right to:
Access any data stored by the extension
Delete all extension data by uninstalling the extension
Contact us with any privacy concerns
Our extension requests the following permissions:
activeTab Permission:
Used to access the current YouTube page to extract the video URL
Only accesses the active tab when you use the extension
No data from other tabs is accessed or stored
storage Permission:
Used to save your preferences (auto-show setting) locally
Used to remember where you positioned the QR code display
Data is stored locally on your device and synced across your Chrome browsers
Host Permissions (*.youtube.com):
Required to run the extension on YouTube pages
Allows the extension to detect YouTube videos and generate QR codes
Only works on YouTube websites
Our extension is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
