Privacy Policy for StreamIP
Last updated: May, 2026.
StreamIP respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and what choices you have.
1. Overview
StreamIP is a technical media player for playlists, streams, and content sources added by the user. The app does not provide, sell, host, store, or distribute TV channels, movies, series, subscriptions, playlists, or any other media content.
2. Information We Collect
StreamIP does not require a user account and does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
The app may store the following information locally on your device:
- Playlists or server details that you add yourself
- App settings such as theme, language, playback preferences, and app lock settings
- Favorites, recently watched items, and playback progress
- Resume positions for movies and TV episodes
This information is stored locally on your device and is used only to make the app function as expected.
3. Playlist and Server Information
If you add a playlist URL, server address, username, or password, this information is used only to load and play the content source you have provided.
StreamIP does not verify, control, own, or monitor the content made available through user-added playlists or servers. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to access and play any content you add to the app.
4. Local Storage
StreamIP may store app data locally on your device. This may include settings, playlist information, favorites, recent items, and playback progress.
This data remains on your device unless you delete the app, clear the app data, or remove the data from within the app where such options are available.
5. Data Sharing
StreamIP does not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to third parties.
The app does not operate its own backend server for collecting user data.
When you use a playlist, stream, or server added by you, your device connects directly to that third-party source. Those third-party services may receive technical information such as your IP address, device information, or request details according to their own privacy policies and server behavior. StreamIP does not control those third-party services.
6. Internet Access
StreamIP requires internet access in order to load playlists, connect to user-added servers, and play streams.
The app itself does not provide or host any media content.
7. App Lock / PIN
If you enable app lock or PIN protection, the app may store information necessary to verify the PIN locally on your device. The app does not send this PIN information to any external server.
If you forget your PIN, clearing app data or reinstalling the app may reset the lock, but this may also remove locally stored playlists, settings, favorites, and playback progress.
8. Children’s Privacy
StreamIP is not directed specifically at children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because StreamIP plays user-added content sources, users are responsible for ensuring that any content accessed through the app is appropriate and legally available to them.
9. Third-Party Content and Services
StreamIP may play content from third-party playlists, servers, or streaming sources added by the user.
StreamIP is not affiliated with any IPTV provider, TV distributor, streaming service, media company, or content provider. The developer is not responsible for third-party content, playlist availability, server reliability, legality of content, or the privacy practices of third-party services.
10. Playlist Compatibility
StreamIP aims to support common playlist and streaming formats, but the developer cannot guarantee that every playlist, stream, server, or content source will work optimally in the app. Functionality may vary depending on format, server setup, network, device, codecs, and the quality of the source added by the user.
11. Security
Reasonable care is taken to store app data locally on the device. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for protecting any playlist or server credentials you choose to add to the app.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this document.
