About me

Hi, and welcome to my academic web page! I'm Silvio Traverso and I work as tenure-track assistant professor at the Dept. of Law and Economic, Social and Political Sciences of the University of Eastern Piedmont.   Previously, I've served as assistant professor at the Dept. of Economics of the University of Genoa, research fellow at School of International Studies and at  Dept. of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Trento, and at the Dept. of Economics and Management of the University of Florence

I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Florence and have completed the Advanced Studies Program in International Economic Policy Research at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy

My research interests include the relationship between automation and flexible employment, the interplay between international trade and migration, the link between personality traits and labor market outcomes, and structural challenges in the Italian labor market. Additionally, I am engaged in side projects in economic history.
