Overall approach

The general philosophy in STRATOS is that collaboration between experts from different areas of biostatistical research can be fruitful to improve the methodology in medical research. TG6 specifically focuses on the performance assessment for diagnostic tests and prediction models. Most research activities have considered issues in prediction models. A extensive list of examples of relevant papers is provided here. In the context of STRATOS, specific attention has been given to survival and competing risk models in recent years (list here).

Future guidance papers will include prediction modeling issues and expand to diagnostic test evaluations.

Reports (2020 and 2022) in the Biometrical Bulletin provide more background to TG6.
