Investment objective
The Company’s long term investment goal is to double the assets of the Stramongate Group in real terms over 30 years while paying an annual dividend that keeps pace with inflation. This translates into an annual rate of growth of approximately 2.3 per cent. plus inflation, after dividends, fees and other costs. This is not intended to be a profit forecast and there is no assurance that the Company will meet its investment objective
Investment policy
With the Company’s investment objective in mind, the Company’s investment policy is to undertake levels of risk such that it can bear short-term market set-backs whilst meeting its investment objectives. In doing so, the Company may invest in any asset class.
The Board will comply with CSSF Circular 07/309 (or any similar circular from time to time in force) and not invest more than 30 per cent. of the aggregate amount the Company’s net assets in subscribing for securities of the same kind issued by the same issuer. This restriction will not apply:
to investments in securities issued or certified by a member state of the OECD or by its territorial public communities or by the institutions and supranational bodies, being common, local or global; or
to investment in target undertakings for collective investment or assimilated entities that are subject to risk spreading requirements at least comparable to the restrictions set out in CSSF Circular 07/309 whether made directly or indirectly via one or more special purpose vehicles of any type or nature provided they are controlled by the Company.
Short sales will not result in the Company holding an uncovered exposure in respect of securities of the same kind issued by the same issuer, which account for more than 30 per cent of its NAV.
When using derivative financial instruments, the Company will ensure a comparable level of risk spreading by an appropriate level of diversification of the underlying assets.
The Company will not make any material change to its investment policy without Shareholder consent.
