St. Paul’s UCC to Host Community Event
On Saturday, October 4th from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., St. Paul’s United Church of Christ ,1473 Urban Road, Herndon, PA, will hold its traditional fall festival in the church grove. Urban Community Day will offer entertainment, and food will be available to eat in or take out.
St. Paul’s congregation will make its own vegetable, chicken corn noodle, and ham and bean soup for purchase by the bowl or quart. Keeping with tradition, you can get your favorite pies, cakes, and handheld treats at the ever popular bake sale, where you can shop til you drop. Scrapple by the pan returns this year. A themed basket raffle will also be available.
Other community vendors will be: Pillow Fire Company (macaroni and cheese and fruit cups), Klingerstown Fire Company (hot and cold beverages), St. Michael’s Church (pit beef sandwiches), L.M. Archery Boosters (hot and sweet sausages), Troutmans' Food Service (French Fries and hotdogs), Line Mountain Baseball (winter /fall crafts, and pulled chicken sandwiches), Soroptomist Club (walking tacos, purses, and jewelry) Jo Jo’s Scoops and Sprinkles, and Wreaths and More.
Free entertainment begins at 10:00 A.M. with Whiskey Shooter playing until 11:45 A.M.
The Outsiders will be playing from 12:15 until 2:00. They play a variety of genres of music including country, gospel, and square dancing music.
The Pillow Fire Truck will be on display throughout the day for curious onlookers to explore.

Vespers Worship – Second Sunday of every month at 7pm in the Sanctuary at Urban! Gathering for an informal evening service. Let us come together to praise, pray, and reflect on the Word! The first gathering will include all these things as well as discussion about continuing through the year. Moore Beef Stew, chicken & beef broth, brownie Mix, cereal, apple sauce, potatoes –
canned & bagged instant potato mixes, Mac & Cheese, spaghetti sauce, canned vegetables , canned chicken, spam, ravioli any size can, baked beans.

Adult Sunday School Class meets every Sunday at 10:45 am in the double Sunday School room.
