Our committee is very active in our church. We try to help wherever there is a need. Our main ministry is our Food Pantry "Twelve Baskets Full". We partner with Second Harvest Food bank in supplying five days worth of groceries to our clients. We also have the support of sister congregations in our area to make this ministry happen. We serve approximately 150 families a month. They have to register with us using the state guidelines on income and are able to come once a month to our location. We receive bread and baked goods each week from Wegman's and Giant at no cost to us. We are open every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and are closed the 5th Thursday if one happens to occur in that month.
Another social ministry we participate in is the Backpack Pals within Easton School District. We supply the soup for the long weekends through the school year. Currently there are 180 bags being packed for 6 weekends in the school year. Christ Methodist Church on the Southside partners with us to collect the 360 cans of soup needed for each packing.
If our committee hears of a social need in the community we help wherever we can.
