ABC Jesus Loves Me

     Here at Cornerstone we are using a curriculum  entitled "ABC Jesus Loves ME".  We are incorporating what children need in preparation of kindergarten as well as learning the Bible stories.   "ABC Jesus Loves ME" includes play -based activities to teach  Bible concepts and establishes a solid foundation needed for  future success. The curriculum is based on child development and appropriate practices and provides for the various ages, ability levels and developmental stages of children.  The preschool groups attend chapel once a week where there is lively music and an interesting lesson from the Pastor.

     This curriculum also has many ideas for arts and crafts to expand a child's imagination. Lots of painting , coloring, gluing and the older children can use scissors which are not only fun but help tremendously with fine motor skills.

     The children are encouraged to run, jump and play in our large gym where there are crawl through toys, balls, riding toys, and even a bouncy house!  Weather permitting, they  go outside and play on one of the three playground areas that are set up for different developmental stages.  These are wonderful physical learning tools that help with coordination and getting the body exercise.  The curriculum recognizes that children are better able to learn when they are physically active, then they are able to sit for a lesson or story and retain the information given to them by their loving teachers.
