Today, as we are training our 21st century student scientists for 21st century careers, they need to be innovative problem solvers prepared to model a real world scenario in the classroom and design a prototype, test it and improve it to make their design even better. Donations of common household items will give us an inexpensive way to provide students with materials to build these models to both improve their understanding of science and also to help them become better engineers.
