This privacy policy applies to the Stow app for Android ("the App"), made by Czechner Ince ("we"). Effective date: 2 November 2026.
The short version Stow has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers of its own. Your photos, videos and reading stay on your phone. We never receive or store your personal data.
Photos and videos If you allow access, Stow reads the photos and videos on your device to build your feed. It looks at each photo on the device, using Google ML Kit's on-device models, to count faces, detect smiles, sharpness and text, and to skip screenshots and documents. It doesn't recognize or identify people. The results are stored only in the App's private storage on your phone. Photos and videos are never uploaded.
You can hide photos from Stow, or delete them from your phone. Deleting always asks for your confirmation first.
Location in your photos If you allow it, Stow reads the location saved in your photos. It sends approximate coordinates to Android's built-in geocoding service, provided by Google, to turn them into place names. It also sends coordinates and place names to Wikipedia to find stories about places you've been. No account or identifier is sent with these requests.
Articles and news When you download topics, use Trip mode or save a link, Stow connects directly to:
Wikipedia
the public RSS feeds and websites of news publishers (for example BBC, The Guardian, NASA)
any website you save
Like any web request, these services receive your IP address and basic device information. Their own privacy policies apply. What you search for in Trip mode is sent to Wikipedia. Articles are stored only on your phone. Downloaded news is deleted automatically after 30 days.
Google Play services
Purchases: Stow Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles the payment. Stow only stores, on your device, whether you own Pro.
Updates and reviews: the App uses Google Play's in-app update and in-app review features.
ML Kit diagnostics: Google ML Kit may send anonymous diagnostic and usage data to Google to keep its models working.

Data we collect None. We don't operate servers and we don't receive your data. So we can't sell or share it, and we have nothing to delete on our side.
Data on your device and how to delete it Saved articles, photo analysis results and settings are stored in the App's private storage. You can delete articles in the App. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its data in Android settings, removes everything.
Children The App is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes We'll post any changes here with a new effective date.
