StoryBridge ("we", "us", or "the app") helps seniors and their family members
stay connected by sharing voice recordings, photos, daily conversation answers,
and weekly challenges within a private family circle. This Privacy Policy
explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By creating an account and using StoryBridge, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

## 1. Information We Collect
We only collect information needed to operate the app.
**Information you provide:**
- **Account information** — your email address and password (used to create and
secure your account, and to verify your email).
- **Profile information** — your display name, your role (senior or family
member), and a profile photo you choose.
- **Family connections** — the links you create between your account and the
family members or senior you connect with.
**Content you create or upload:**
- **Voice recordings** you record in the app.
- **Photos** you choose to upload.
- **Text** you write, such as daily conversation answers and comments.
- **Weekly challenge submissions** (photos and descriptions).
**Information collected automatically:**
- We do **not** use analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, and we do
**not** track you across other apps or websites.
## 2. Device Permissions
The app may ask for the following permissions. You can grant or deny each one,
and change them later in your device Settings:
- **Microphone** — to record voice messages.
- **Photo Library** — to let you select photos you want to upload.
- **Notifications** — optional daily reminders. These reminders are scheduled
locally on your device.
## 3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only to:
- Create and secure your account and verify your email.
- Let you and the family members you are connected with share and respond to
voice recordings, photos, conversations, and challenges.
- Operate, maintain, and improve the app's core features.
- Keep the service safe (for example, reviewing reported content).
We do **not** sell your personal information, and we do **not** use it for
advertising.
## 4. How Your Information Is Shared
- **With your connections only.** Content you create is visible only to the
users you are connected with in the app (your linked family members or senior).
It is not public.
- **Service providers.** We store and process data using Google Firebase
(Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage), provided by Google LLC.
Your data is stored on Google's secure cloud infrastructure. See Google's

- **Legal reasons.** We may disclose information if required by law or to protect
the rights, safety, and security of our users.
## 5. Data Retention and Deletion
- We keep your information for as long as your account is active.
- You can **delete individual content** within the app.
- You can **delete your entire account** at any time from **Profile → Delete
Account**. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your
uploaded content (voice recordings, photos, conversations, comments, and
challenge submissions), and your connections, and cannot be undone.
## 6. User-Generated Content and Safety
StoryBridge lets connected users share content with one another. To keep the
community safe:
- You can **report** content you find objectionable. Reports are reviewed and we
take appropriate action, which may include removing content.
- You can **disconnect (block)** a connection so you no longer share content with
that person.
- We have **no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior**, as
stated in our Terms of Use.
## 7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted
connections (TLS) for data in transit and storage on Google's secure
infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work
to protect your information.
## 8. Children's Privacy
StoryBridge is intended for adults and families and is **not directed to children
under the age of 14**. We do not knowingly collect personal information from
children under 14. If you believe a child has provided us with personal
information, please contact us so we can remove it.
## 9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete
your personal information. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the

## 10. International Users
Your information may be stored and processed on servers operated by Google in
locations outside your country. By using the app, you consent to this transfer
and processing.
## 11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last
updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use
of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
