What do you think the word means? How do you say it? Do you notice anything about this word? Use your reading strategies to decode the word and discover its meaning.

Diving Deeper into S.T.A.R. Words:

• Word Endings: We add -ed to "splash" to make it past tense. That means something happened in the past. Make some of your favorite verbs past tense and write or draw them into a picture/sentence.
