Storybook Cushions
Storybook Cushions encourage young readers to tuck their bedtime read into a safe and treasured spot each day.
Whether it's a favourite, a familiar or a first-read , taking the book from their special cushion becomes a vital and anticipated part of the bedtime routine.
To view some of the designs for the storybook cushion covers currently available select the appropriate page from the menu at the top. They are listed alphabetically. I’m adding new designs each week and can make almost any theme, excluding licensed characters (unless I can find a suitable fabric to manipulate). If you have something in mind, contact me.
Each can be customised with names, colours, themes and so on using embroidery, applique or both. If you wish to add a name, this will be $5- $10 extra depending on the length of the name.
Covers are 45cm x45cm (requiring a Size 18 insert.) Inserts are NOT included as they make postage too expensive. However, cushions bought at my market stall include both the insert and a storybook. These are currently $45.00.
Each cover is $A40.00 plus packing and postage based on actual costs from Australia Post. (Including the insert makes postage exorbitant). Currently these costs are $45 (cover + untracked postage) or $49.20 (cover + tracked postage). Where possible postage will be combined for multiple orders. The maximum tracked postage would be $16.50 for five covers. Because of my location, Australia Post is my only delivery option.
Payment is by direct deposit only and bank details are provided when your package is posted.
Fabrics and colours may vary from those in the photographs depending on availability but if you have a preferred colour scheme such as predominantly blues, pinks, oranges and so forth then please indicate this.
Most designs and accompanying verses can be interchanged. If you wish to have a particular verse or dedication, it may be possible to do this. Check with me for availability and costs.
Most designs can also be made into library bags. Library bags are $20.00 each, or $30.00 if personalised with the child's name.
