Returning skiers who would just like to update their wax kit can purchase Blue and Purple for $25 each

Personal Gear needed for a comfortable winter:

Indoor training clothing and running shoes

Suggested Outdoor Gear:

(NOT COTTON as it doesn't wick moisture and stays wet and cold)

Base layers (top and bottom, wicking material, NOT cotton! Turtlenecks or similar)

Second layer for cold days

Lightweight athletic or ski jacket

Jacket for colder days or following practice.

Nordic ski pants like Swix or Bjorn Daehlie are nice, or other athletic pants, NOT sweat pants. Most ski pants will zip down the side which is good for removing before a ski race. They usually have a wind proof panel in front.

For the guys, wind briefs. Gotta have them for cold days.

Wool socks medium weight. (Nordic ski socks, not too heavy)

Sock liners optional

Ski hats that cover ears (headbands an additional option but a hat is mandatory). Hats used during a race must have AT MOST one large logo or two small logos no more than 2.25 square inches total. Anything else is grounds for disqualification from a race.

Lobster gloves or nordic ski mitts that are meant for cold weather

Buffs (essential! this helps to keep face and ears warm on especially cold days)

Backpack to hold gear

Hand and toe warmers are helpful especially on the really cold days

Water bottle (labeled with your name)

Head Lamp! This is needed for times that we ski trails where lighting is not available. Any headlamp is fine, but batteries wear out fast in the cold. Headlamps that are USB rechargeable are best, the more lumens the better.

Sport sunglasses for sunny race days/wind

ULLA Cleaning and Waxing Videos (note that we usually use the cork the ski  using the cork hand tool after buffing with wool hand tool)
