Privacy Policy for StorePH

This Privacy Policy describes how StorePH ("we", "our", or "the app") handles information when you use our mobile application.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

StorePH is designed as an offline-first application. All data you enter into the app is stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. The following data is stored locally on your device: store name and settings, product inventory information, sales transaction records, customer names and contact numbers, credit and payment records, expense records, and business capital information.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

All information stored in StorePH is used solely for the purpose of managing your store operations. This includes recording and tracking sales transactions, managing product inventory, tracking customer credit and payments, generating business reports, and backing up your store data.

3. DATA SHARING

We do not share your personal or business data with any third parties. The one exception is barcode scanning: when you scan a barcode not yet in your inventory, the scanned barcode number (not any of your store, sales, or customer data) is sent to Open Food Facts, a free public product database, to try to auto-fill the product's name and category. If this lookup fails or you're offline, you can simply enter the product details yourself - it's a convenience, not a requirement. Aside from this one exception, all information remains on your device at all times and we have no access to your store data.

4. PERMISSIONS WE REQUEST

StorePH requests the following device permissions. Camera permission is used exclusively for barcode scanning of products - no photos or videos are captured or stored by the app. Storage permission is used to save backup files in JSON format to your device and to save receipt images to your gallery. Notification permission is used to send local notifications for low stock alerts and payment due date reminders - no notifications are sent from external servers. Biometric permission is used only to let you unlock the app or reset a forgotten PIN using your device's fingerprint, face recognition, or screen lock. StorePH never receives, stores, or transmits your actual biometric data - verification happens entirely within your device's operating system, and the app only ever receives a yes/no result.

5. DATA BACKUP

The app provides a backup feature that exports your store data as a JSON file to your device storage. This file can be shared manually by you via any method you choose such as email, messaging apps, or cloud storage. We are not responsible for any data shared by you using this feature.

6. INTERNET ACCESS

StorePH is designed to work fully offline for all core store-management features - recording sales, tracking inventory, managing credit, and generating reports never require an internet connection. The one exception is barcode scanning: looking up an unrecognized barcode makes a best-effort request to Open Food Facts' public database (see Section 3). No other feature transmits any data to any server.

7. DATA SECURITY

Since all data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device security settings. We recommend setting up a screen lock on your device, using the PIN lock feature within StorePH, and regularly backing up your data using the built-in backup feature.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

StorePH is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.

11. YOUR RIGHTS

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete all data using the "Clear All Data" feature in Settings, export your data using the Backup feature, or uninstall the app to remove all stored data from your device.
