This screen shows the details for a single folder, showing the space its files and folders use within the folder, and the space the folder uses overall. This can be viewed as a list or a pie chart.
The following information is always given:
Size information is shown graphically to give a simple visualisation of the space used by folders. This can help identify folders which are taking up a larger amount of space than expected.
The inner pie chart (pie chart mode) or the bar chart (list mode) shows the above size information as a ratio of the total capacity of the storage device
In pie chart mode, the outer pie chart shows the size of each sub-folder or file in the current folder, as a ratio of the space used by the current folder. In list mode, all items are shown, with the space used by each item as a ratio of the space used by the current folder shown as a bar on the item background. Sub-folders are shown in orange, while files are shown in purple.
Double-tap a sub-folder to open it, double-tap a file to open it using the default app for the file type (if one exists). Tap on a file or folder to select it. Long-press on a file or folder to start multi-selecting. It is also possible to open files "as" other types, or using any app of the user's choice.
Files can be deleted, moved, copied, renamed, or new folders can be added. Note that file modification actions are NOT reversible, though the app will stop a modification if it reaches a dangerous error (e.g. it will not delete any files if copying any files has failed during a move process). In some cases, write access may need to be requested from the user.
Please note that on Android KitKat (4.4), SD cards cannot be written to on most non-rooted devices. There is no work-around for this, and Android 5 is required to resolve it.
