StopwatchPlus (“we,” “our,” or “the App”) is a stopwatch and countdown timer application. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information when you use it. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
By using StopwatchPlus, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Summary
StopwatchPlus is designed to work **locally on your device**. We do **not** require an account, do **not** collect personal information for our own servers, and do **not** sell or share your data with advertisers.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We do **not** collect, transmit, or store on our servers:
- Name, email address, phone number, or other contact details (except if you email us voluntarily)
- Account or login credentials (the App has no accounts)
- Precise or approximate location
- Contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or files from your device (beyond local app storage)
- Advertising identifiers for targeting
- Analytics, crash reports, or usage telemetry sent to us
- Payment or financial information
4. Information Stored on Your Device
To keep your sessions working after you leave the App, StopwatchPlus may store the following **only on your device** using local storage (for example AsyncStorage):
- Stopwatch elapsed time, status, and lap history
- Timer duration, remaining time, status, and related session state
- Local notification identifiers used for timer completion alerts
This data stays on your device. It is **not** uploaded to our servers. You can clear it by resetting stopwatch/timer sessions in the App, or by clearing the App’s data / uninstalling the App from your device settings.
5. Permissions and Device Features
Depending on your device and OS version, the App may request or use:

Notifications are used **only** for timer completion alerts that you initiate. We do not send marketing or promotional push notifications.
You can deny or revoke notification permission in your device settings. Without permission, timer alerts may not appear when the App is in the background.
6. Third-Party Services
StopwatchPlus does **not** integrate advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or social login providers in the current version.
If you use optional features such as:
- **Rate / review** (opens the Google Play in-app review or store listing), or
- **Share** (uses your device’s share sheet),
those actions are handled by your device / Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not receive the content of reviews or shares through our own servers.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, the App is generally suitable for all ages as a local timing tool. If you believe a child has provided us personal information via email, contact us and we will delete it from our inbox where reasonably possible.
8. Data Security
Local timing data remains on your device under the security controls of your operating system. Because we do not operate a backend for this App’s timing features, there is no central database of user timing data for us to breach. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; protect your device with a lock screen and keep your OS updated.
9. Data Retention
Local app data is retained on your device until you reset sessions, clear app data, or uninstall the App. We do not retain your timing data on our systems. Emails you send to our support address are retained only as long as needed to respond and for ordinary business records.

You can:
- Reset stopwatch and timer data inside the App
- Disable notifications in system settings
- Clear app storage or uninstall the App
- Contact us with privacy questions at the email below
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy. For material changes, we may also note them in the App or on the Play Store listing when practical.
