THE START - 2024
Growing up, I've always wanted to be a chef. Working in the restaurant business since 15 years old, I eventually found my way into the world of Firefighting and fell in love with it. But what is the one thing firefighters are well known for? Cooking! My love for cooking followed me throughout my life. Once I was able to obtain my dream job as a career Firefighter, I knew it was time to chase my next dream. Sitting on my phone one day, watching countless videos of Food Trucks on Youtube & TikTok, out of the blue I texted my then fiancée, "Hey. Crazy Idea. Wanna start a food truck with me?" And being the amazing, insane woman she is, she said "Sure." And that's when Stop Drop & Eggroll began "rolling" into action.
After a ton of research, planning and purchasing, we started with a simple $130 tent, a $180 fryer, and a smile. Buying the equipment and food was easy. The hardest part was finding a place to sell! Thankfully, we were greeted with open arms at the Hawthorne Farmer's Market. They gave us our first chance, and we are eternally grateful for them. Our first day? A COMPLETE SELL OUT! We were beyond excited coming home to wash dishes, knowing the success of that day. Continuing throughout the year, our popularity began to rise. The request began to pour in and the events were getting bigger and bigger. By the end of the season, we knew it was time for something new.
The Trailer - 2025
In early 2025, We decided to really grow our business and bought a used Food Trailer from a friend. This was hands down, the BEST decision we made! A few months of fixing it up, getting it wrapped with our branding, and several taste testings later, we can proudly say our sales TRIPLED over the year, launching our business even further than we could imagine. The amount of heads turning once they see our trailer, the questions, the awe, and the best part, the repeat customers once they try our food makes every blood, sweat and tears in this business well worth it!
Current - 2026
Currently, in the year of 2026, We were blessed to be hired for Corporate events, Private caterings and our favorite, Weddings! On top of that, we have gotten into multiple Bars and Breweries with the perfect type of drunk, fried finger food. We also made an investment into our Tent Operations, hiring a team to have the Tent operating at the Hawthorne Farmer's Market full time during the season, to ensure we never forget where we started! We cannot wait to see what 2026 has in store for us, and we couldn't do any of this without our friends, family and our wonderful customers we have the pleasure of serving each and every week. Thank you all!
