At the Stop Diabetes Movement sponsored by SEWA International, our organization set up a stall to educate the people that attended the event. Most of the people attending this event had Diabetes or knew friends or family members with Diabetes. We explained how eating canned food can result in many harmful effects, including Diabetes. We also passed out fliers with additional information about out research and organization.

We collected food donations for the Houston Food Bank. The only requirement was that the food donations could not be canned food. We were also able to educate others on alternatives to canned food, such as glass packaging, cardboard packaging, and TetraPaks.
