The PTO is a nonprofit group comprised of parents, teachers and staff dedicated to improving the educational experience of all students at Stony Creek Elementary.
If you are a parent, teacher or staff member at Stony Creek, you are already a member. We encourage parents, family members and community members to volunteer in any way possible.
Volunteering for the PTO is a great way to meet other parents in the school and contribute to your child’s education.
2025-2026 PTO Board Members
Hi, Stony Creek Families! I’m Julie DeHerrera, and I’m thrilled to be serving my third year on the PTO. My husband and I are proud parents to two amazing Stony students—Tyson (4th grade) and Lettie (2nd grade). We absolutely love the Stony Creek community and are so grateful for the incredible staff who care for and inspire our kids every day. Being part of the PTO is my way of giving back and helping make our school an even better place for students, families, and staff.
As proud Colorado natives, our family enjoys spending time outdoors—rain, shine, or even when we get all four seasons in a single day! I’m looking forward to another exciting, fun-filled school year and can’t wait to connect with even more Stony Creek families.
I’m Chelsea Jones, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to join the PTO this year! My husband, Ben, and I are proud parents of two wonderful kids: Elijah, who is in first grade, and our little preschool explorer princess, Lonnie. As a Colorado native, I have a deep passion for education.
I spent eight delightful years teaching elementary school in Jeffco before choosing to focus on my children at home. When I’m not busy with them, you might find me on the golf course, playing tennis, baking a delicious loaf of sourdough, or getting immersed in a captivating book! I’m looking forward to an incredible year ahead!
Hello Miners!
I’m Tawny Morehouse—proud wife, mom, and the unofficial (and slightly overcaffeinated) CEO of the Morehouse household. I manage two kids, two dogs, and one husband who still thinks he’s the boss. Bless his heart.
Our crew includes Ashlyn, who’s off to Deer Creek and perfecting the ancient art of teenage eye-rolling; Kylee, our spunky 3rd grader with enough energy to power the school; and our two black labs, Rocky and Shadow, who work full-time, as my loyal coworkers (though they mostly nap through meetings).
When I’m not juggling snacks, school schedules, and sports schedules, you’ll find me in the mountains pretending I’m on Survivor: Mom Edition—camping, fishing, hiking, and occasionally talking to squirrels about my life choices. Nature is cheaper than therapy… most of the time.
One of the things we love most about living here is the amazing sense of community. I’m excited to support our amazing school staff—because it really does take a village, especially when that village includes glitter, glue sticks, and surprise spirit days.
Here’s to another great year together!
I am a Colorado (Littleton) native who graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in Education, emphasis on Elementary School and minors in History and Dance. I have worked for a Denver based Oil and Gas company as a Senior Administrative Assistant for almost 14 years. I have two children; Lucas is entering 6th grade and James is entering 3rd grade. My husband and I met at a neighboring Jeffco Elementary school, so this community holds a special place in our hearts. I'm looking forward to another amazing Stony Creek school year!
Hi Stony Creek Families,
My name is Aubrey Kroll. I have an 11 year old son in his 6th grade year at Deer Creek middle school this year and a 6 year old girl in 1st grade at Stony Creek. I am in my 5th year as a Stony Creek PTO member. I enjoy being involved in both schools and supporting our students and their families in the school community. I love enriching their experience every year with fun activities that also help fund their everyday learning. I look forward to input from all parents to make our school a better and memorable place for our young ones.
Hi! My name is Ariel Rosemberg, in my second year on PTO. My son Noah is in the second grade, and we have another boy currently enrolled at the daycare at Kiddie Academy.
I grew up in Central Florida, lived in Tallahassee, Atlanta and have called Colorado home for 14 years. I joined the PTO in an effort to be more involved with the school, as it’s something that’s always been near to me. I tend to believe that with these things like this, the more one puts in, the more that comes out - which is so important for the kids. Outside of school, I'm a 20-year music industry marketing veteran, I teach adjunct at CSU and I'm on the Board of the International Bluegrass Music Association.
Look forward to a great year ahead!
Hey Stony Creek Families! My name is Laura Ballou, and I’m excited to serve as a General Board Member on the PTO this year. This is our family’s third year at Stony Creek as our daughter heads into first grade. I joined the PTO because I love Stony’s strong sense of community and want to help support all this school does for its students. I’m a Littleton, CO native and proud Jeffco Schools alum. I’m looking forward to giving back and to another great year at this school!
