The PTO is a nonprofit group comprised of parents, teachers and staff dedicated to improving the educational experience of all students at Stony Creek Elementary.
If you are a parent, teacher or staff member at Stony Creek, you are already a member. We encourage parents, family members and community members to volunteer in any way possible.
Volunteering for the PTO is a great way to meet other parents in the school and contribute to your child’s education.

Hi, Stony Creek Families! I’m Julie DeHerrera, and I’m thrilled to be serving my fourth year on the PTO. My husband and I are proud parents to two amazing Stony students—Tyson (5th grade) and Lettie (3rd grade). We absolutely love the Stony Creek community and are so grateful for the incredible staff who care for and inspire our kids every day. Being part of the PTO is my way of giving back and helping make our school an even better place for students, families, and staff.
As proud Colorado natives, our family enjoys spending time outdoors—rain, shine, or even when we get all four seasons in a single day! I’m looking forward to another exciting, fun-filled school year and can’t wait to connect with even more Stony Creek families.
Hello Stony Creek Families!
I’m Chelsea Jones, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be on the PTO this year! My husband, Ben, and I are proud parents of two wonderful kids: Elijah, who is in second grade, and Lonnie who is in Kindergarten. As a Colorado native, I have a deep passion for education. I spent eight years teaching elementary school in Jeffco and am now a para educator at Stony Creek! When I’m not busy with my kids, you might find me on the golf course, playing tennis, baking sourdough, or getting immersed in a captivating book! I’m looking forward to an incredible year ahead!
Hello Miners!
I’m Tawny Morehouse—proud wife, mom, and the unofficial (and slightly overcaffeinated) CEO of the Morehouse household. I manage two kids, two dogs, and one husband who still thinks he’s the boss. Bless his heart.
Our crew includes Ashlyn, who’s entering 7th grade at Deer Creek and perfecting the ancient art of teenage eye-rolling; Kylee, our spunky 4th grader with enough energy to power the school; and our two black labs, Rocky and Shadow, who work full-time, as my loyal coworkers (though they mostly nap through meetings).
When I’m not juggling snacks, school schedules, and sports schedules, you’ll find me in the mountains pretending I’m on Survivor: Mom Edition—camping, fishing, hiking, and occasionally talking to squirrels about my life choices. Nature is cheaper than therapy… most of the time.
One of the things we love most about living here is the amazing sense of community. I’m excited to support our amazing school staff—because it really does take a village, especially when that village includes glitter, glue sticks, and surprise spirit days.
Here’s to another great year together!
Hi there!
My name is Aubrey Kroll. I’ve been a proud part of the Stony Creek PTO since 2019 and also currently serve as the SAC Chair for Stony Creek Elementary. I grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and am very proud to be a CO native. My husband Kevin is a paramedic, and together we have two wonderful kids. As a family, we love spending a lot of our time outdoors!
Our son, William, is in middle school and loves science, engineering, playing the piano, and random fun facts—I swear he’ll be on Jeopardy one day! Our daughter, Emelinda, is in 2nd grade and stays busy with Girl Scouts right here at Stony Creek, as well as glitter, dance, singing, art, and judo. I don’t know what she will do when she grows up, but I bet it will be big and dramatic!
When I’m not filling in as a substitute lunch lady and driving the kids to different activities, you can find me cooking, reading, or solving all kinds of different puzzles. I truly love being involved in our school and helping to make our community a better place. Please feel free to say hello anytime you see me around.
Hi! I’m Sammy. My husband Cody and I love living in the Stony Creek neighborhood and raising our family here. We are blessed with six kids, and this year our three boys will be at Stony Creek, Jeremy in 1st grade, Oliver in kindergarten, and Lucas in preschool, while our three little girls are still home with me until they’re old enough to join the Stony Creek family too. We also have a big yellow Lab named Bernie and a miniature Dachshund named Mabel who keep our house full of love and adventure!
I’m a stay at home mom and currently a student, so life is always busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. In the little free time I find, I enjoy reading, music, and spending time outdoors with my family.
I’ve always pictured myself being involved with the PTO, and I’m so excited to finally be a part of this community. I look forward to meeting more Stony Creek families and helping support our students, teachers, and school!
I’m Maddie, and this is my first year as a member of the Stony Creek PTO. I am the very proud mom to Emmett, who is starting kindergarten this year. I’m thrilled to be a part of the PTO and give back to my community.
I'm Crystal. My son, Kaiden, and I are excited to be returning to Stony Creek as he starts second grade! We're thrilled to be part of such an amazing school community, and I'm especially excited to serve on the PTO this year.
As a dedicated mom, I enjoy trying to stay organized (emphasis on trying), bringing people together, and helping create fun, and meaningful experiences for our students and families. Whether I'm cheering on the sidelines, volunteering, coordinating events, solving problems, or figuring out how to make twelve things happen at once with only two hands and one cup of caffeine and sugar, I love being involved and lending a hand wherever I can.
Life has taught me to tackle challenges with determination, keep a sense of humor, and never underestimate the power of teamwork—or a well-timed snack. I believe in kindness, community, and making the little moments count. I also firmly believe that if we can laugh through the chaos, we're probably doing something right.
I'm looking forward to meeting more of the incredible families at Stony Creek, working alongside everyone on the PTO, and helping make this school year one our kids will remember for all the right reasons. If you see me around, don't hesitate to say hi—I promise I'm friendly, even if I'm carrying a million things and looking like I'm on a mission!
