It explains how and why we collect, store, use, and share your information when you engage with our services, download the application, or use any related features (collectively, the "Services").
Please carefully read this policy to understand your rights and choices regarding your privacy. If you do not agree with our practices, please refrain from using our Services. If you have any concerns or inquiries, please reach out to us at stoneidentifyscan.support@gmail.com.
We've summarized the key points of our privacy practices for your convenience:
What Information Do We Collect? We collect personal information you voluntarily disclose (such as your account details, uploaded photos of stones/rocks, and camera access), information collected automatically (IP addresses, approximate location for geographical context, device attributes, and app usage metrics), and information from third-party login providers (like Apple or Google).
Sensitive Information: We do not process sensitive personal information (such as health, political, or religious data).
AI/data Handling note: This app does not use any third-party AI service (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic) for image recognition. All AI image analysis and stone classification is powered by our own in-house AI models, hosted entirely on our own servers. No user data is shared with or processed by any external third-party AI provider. Uploaded photos and images required to identify stones are transmitted only to our own backend servers, where they are processed exclusively by our in-house AI models in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
AI Model Training: We do not use your private photo uploads or scanned images to train our AI models without your explicit, opt-in consent.
How Do We Process Your Information? We process your data to provide, personalize, and improve our stone identification services, manage your scan history, handle billing and subscriptions, communicate with you, ensure security, and comply with legal requirements.
Sharing Your Personal Information:We share your data only with service providers that support our Services, such as cloud hosting infrastructure, analytics providers, and payment processors. We do not share your personal data or photos with any third-party AI provider. All uploaded photos processed for quick identification are automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours after processing, except where retention is required for your saved scan history or collections.
Your Privacy Rights: Depending on your location (e.g., EU, UK, Canada, California), you have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
