Robust numerical methods for partial differential equations, e.g. isogeometric methods, discontinuous Galerkin (DG) methods, h-p spectral/finite element methods.
Computational engineering problems, e.g. solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, water waves, free surface flows, and use of above numerical methods to solve such problems.
Fast direct/iterative linear algebra solution techniques.
Robust and guaranteed a-posteriori error estimates.
Scientific software development, and parallel computing.
