“As a first responder for search and rescue, fire, and EMS I have had the opportunity to work with Cuyler on several different levels.
When I think about public service, I think a person needs to be professional, competent, confident, hard working, and a team player. Cuyler not only checks all those boxes but excels at them. He is also is adamant about helping those around him check those boxes as well.
Leadership is stepping up and taking charge when others won’t. That person has to be impartial and objective to the situation. Able to make hard calls. And those calls sometimes aren’t the popular opinions of others. But has the best interest of the situation in mind.
That person has to have integrity. Which is the foundation of leadership.
They have to have a vision. To always be learning from mistakes, always be moving forward. With a plan to make things better for all involved. Not just themselves.
They have to be innovative. They have to be willing to make changes and be thinking outside of the box to better the situation at hand.
I believe that Cuyler excels at all of these.
As with ALL first responders, we experience some very traumatic incidents. Every once in a while, those first responders don’t deal with those incidents very well. Cuyler has always been willing to help debrief the situation. Always been willing to check on and help others several days to several weeks after. He knows that those people are part of his team and his first responder family. And has their well-being as his priority.
I believe there is a lot of law enforcement experience in this race. But I believe one person stands above the rest in what we need in this community. And that person is Cuyler Stoker!
I encourage all of you to do your own research. I encourage you to watch the videos that Cuyler has posted on stokerforsheriff.com. And also meet with him face to face.
I believe that he is the best man for the job! And that is why I am endorsing him for sheriff. "
