Stockholm Master in Mathematics Seminar

Seminar Objective

This seminar is a space for master's students to practice giving research talks and engage with PhD and postdoctoral research topics. The purpose of this space is two-fold: we aim to support the development of research interests of master students as they progress in their academic career, and strengthen relations between master, PhD, and postdoctoral students in order to foster greater collaboration in the Stockholm mathematics community.

The seminar talks usually take approximately one hour, but some individual talks might take more or less time depending on the topic and the speaker. We will prioritize inviting master students and PhD students to present their own research or expository talks. Postdocs, researchers, or lecturers are also welcome to present their work as well. Free fika will be provided.

We are planning to hold a game evening after every seminar talk. Feel free to bring your own games!

Schedule and Topics

The seminar are on odd week Tuesdays 16-18 Stockholm time at Cramér Room in the SU Math Department (Albano House 1). The game evenings will be held at group room 1 at House 1. See the schedule for a downloadable calendar and abstracts for information on the speakers and their talks.
