💐 May Crowning 👑 💐

May 14, 2023 2nd Grade & First Communion Students

Our First Communicants were gathered together again, along with Mrs. Combs and the parish, on Mother's Day to participate in the May Crowning ceremony during Mass both inside and outside of the church!

The students processed in and out carrying the crowns of flowers for our beloved Patroness, Mother Mary.  It was a beautiful Sunday filled with grace and joy for all involved in the Mass.

We pray that all mothers, find daily strength to say yes to the call to the sacrificial love - the very heart of the vocation of motherhood.

Sacrament of First Communion🌾🍷

April 29, 2023       2nd Grade & First Communion Students

Rejoice and be glad! Mrs. Combs, Mrs. Carbonarro & Mr. Espinosa prepared their students well.... First Communion here at St. Mary's was a huge success. . It was a beautiful Mass as the children received Jesus for the first time in his tremendous love and Holy Communion.  Despite the rain, families turned out with relatives and loved ones from near and far.

Please continue to pray for these children, for the unity of the Church, and their families, through the Eucharist, the ultimate sacrifice and sacrament of God's Love for each and every one of us.

Pray for them by name:

🔥Confirmation Retreat🔥

March 25, 2023 8th Grade & Confirmation Students

Our Confirmation students went on their retreat!  The theme was Bearing Witness, and reflected throughout the day in various sessions about how they can continue to be witnesses to God's love and mercy even after they receive the sacrament of Confirmation!

They had an incredible encounter with the Blessed Sacrament in Eucharistic Adoration, celebrated Mass with Fr Tim, spent time in Lectio and Visio Divina (reading and seeing God in text and art) and made a craft that represents their journey with the Holy Spirit by their side.  They played some games in the afternoon and wrapped up the day with a talk from Sr Mary Magdalene and Sr Lucy Fidelis of the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist.  It was a wonderful day despite the rain!

⛪💟*7th Grade Retreat*

March 22, 2023 7th Grade Students & Families

Our 7th Grade students attended a retreat with Mr. Tony Bellizzi on March 22nd.  Tony guided them through a meditation and talked with them about the importance of community service, especially as they are at the beginning stages of their Confirmation preparation.

The students were joined by their families and teachers in listening, prayer and throughout the talk.  Tony also emphasized the importance of keeping Christ at the center of the family and praying as a community.

First Reconciliation

February 4, 2023

Grades 2 & RCIC

13 students in our 2nd Grade program received the sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday.  They arrived with their families and we all prayed together for the Holy Spirit to guide them and help them through this special day.  Fr Valentine read the parable of the Lost Sheep to remind us that we too can be lost sometimes and that Reconciliation is just one of the things that builds our bond with God and draws us home.

✨ BEHOLD! ✨ An evening of Adoration and Reconciliation

Jan & Feb, 2023 Grades 5-8

Students in the upper grades have each attended Holy Hours in the past weeks.  Holy Hour is a great way to spend some time with the Lord and these kids were able to receive the Spirit in such tremendous ways.

It's not every day that you get to spend some quiet time with the Lord in such a profound way and we only grow closer to God when we give Him our full attention.  They were able to do that with some music, journaling and peaceful meditation.

They were invited to BEHOLD His beauty and mercy through the True Presence and receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation during the evening.

Please keep all of our students in your prayers as they continue to go through this school year.

Here are some photos from the Holy Hour Evenings with of the upper grade levels.

You were prayed for!
