About Us

St Mary's Cathedral Parish

In addition to serving as the Mother Church of the Diocese, the Cathedral is also a parish Church.

It serves all Helmington and Coulby Newham, sharing parish boundaries with St Clare of Assisi Parish in Brookfield,  St Thérèse of Lisieux Parish in Ingleby Barwick, St Bernadette's Parish in Nunthorpe and St Joseph's Parish in Stokesley

What We Do

We strive to live the Gospel, preach the Good News and bear witness to the Living presence of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the Sacramental life of the Church and in every person we meet. We are faithful to the teaching and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.

The Faith and Sacramental Life of the Parish

The Liturgy

Our regular pattern of worship centres around the daily celebration of the Eucharist (Mass).

Sung Evening Prayer with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place weekly.

The Rosary is recited, and there is time and space for private prayer.
