STL PoliticClips is a free/pay-what-you-can civic service provided to all by Joshua Lawrence (he/him). It encompasses three distinct functions:
Summarizing, publicizing, and spotlighting St. Louis Board of Aldermen meetings.
These summaries are posted weekly on Instagram and YouTube (see the Social Media tab). Don’t have time to sit through a 3, 4, or 5 hour meeting? Don’t worry—here are the cliff notes that actually apply to you.
STLDocs314 – Archiving St. Louis video history.
This offshoot digitizes and preserves materials for future generations. While there’s a YouTube page, most of the collection is now hosted on Archive.org and the STLPC Instagram. You’ll find everything from The History of Black Police Officers in St. Louis to St. Louis Has It All: From A→Z Tourism Promotional Video, all indexed for researcher discoverability.

Riverfront Times Database – Archiving the journalism of the Riverfront Times.
After the RFT was sold in May 2024, it was converted into an OnlyFans promotional website, erasing over a decade of on-the-ground reporting. The RFT Database recovered and preserved this work—rescuing it from a proverbial burning building.
