Busch Stadium is the home to the Cardinals from 1966, On May 12, 1966, the Cardinals opened the new Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis. The historical Busch Stadium has a seating capacity of 44,494 with 3,706 club seats and 61 luxury seats. the stadium opened on April 4, 2006, with exhibition between the minor league Memphis Redbirds and Springfield Cardinals.

New Busch Stadium is designed by populous (then known as HOK Sport) and built by Hund construction with an estimated cost of $344.8 million dollars. Construction on the seating area was completed in late May, increasing the capacity for the May 29, 2006, game vs The Houston Astros with final additions performed through the year. As with most new facilities, modern building systems were a priority in the new Busch Stadium. The network infrastructure was built around a fiber optic backbones capable of accommodating a variety of systems.

Civil Engineering and architectural construction of The Busch Stadium was a great success i.e. even though there was a bit set backs and more than $3 million dollars had to be spent in between the last seasons to make improvements, which included adding three escalators.
