Family time allows leaders to gather with their groups and describe the traits of a traditional Roman family. This session delves into the customs and values that define familial structures, coupled with a discussion on significant traditions that are vital to Rome, enhancing comprehension of the Bible. Through this interaction, participants gain insights into the historical and cultural backdrop, nurturing a deeper appreciation for the traditions that have shaped Roman society and the Scriptures.
Apprentice Games
You’ll be preparing all the exciting games outlined in the Apprentice Games Leader Manual, and gather the necessary supplies. Lead Roman families in two sessions of Apprentice Games games each day. Dress up as the coolest Roman character in town, and share interesting facts with participants about the games kids played in ancient Rome.
Shopkeeper
As a shopkeeper in the Marketplace, you'll guide families through craft projects, providing necessary supplies for their creations. You'll share fascinating historical facts from the Shopkeeper Manual and engage with both children and adults, fostering a warm atmosphere. This role allows families to express their faith while enjoying a meaningful and interactive experience.
St. Paul + Roman Soldier
In this engaging role, you will portray St. Paul by rehearsing with the guard, and gathering essential props for daily performances. You’ll meet with Roman families during four sessions each day, guiding them through Pauls journey. Your focus will be on helping children and adults understand that God love is present in both good and challenging times, fostering a deeper appreciation of faith and resilience.
