Stretford & Urmston

Thirteen of us took a short winter stroll of about 3 miles taking in Stretford and Urmston. We started by Newcroft Garden Nursery in Stretford and proceeded along the edge of Stretford Meadows to cross the M60 at the Pegasus Suspension Bridge. The Trans-Pennine Trail then took us to the River Mersey where we resisted the temptation to take refreshment at Riverbank Café. We followed the river past the Millenium Footbridge and turned off at Cob Kiln Lane to go through Cob Kiln Wood. A short piece of road walking returned us to a path that led us back to our starting point.
