Tip for the Month: City of Manchester Electronics and Metal Recycling!
Our Covenant
We make this promise to God, our Creator, that as individuals and as a congregation, we affirm our connection to each other and to the world around us. We adhere to God’s laws and we are responsible to God for our actions. Mindful of how abuses of creation - in all its forms - cause uneven suffering, we are dedicated to confronting those abuses and seeking justice for the oppressed. We intend our commitments to be reflected in the local and global actions of our congregation. Amen!
- St John UCC Manchester, Green Team
Different green team events and updates are pictured here.
So far in the summer of 2026, our raised bed gardens have produced more than 100 pounds of fresh vegetables that have been given to Circle of Concern Food Pantry.
If your home garden has produced more than you can use, please consider donating some of your surplus to Circle of Concern Food Pantry.
We are able to fundraise for various charities of the Green Team's choice through selling hand-made crocheted and sewed items!
The Green Team gathered at church to make pet beds, toys, and more with fabric that members of the church donated! Thank you for all of your donations!
The Green Team and members of the church met at St. John's on November 15th at 10AM to help clear out some of the invasive honeysuckle on our church grounds.
