Question?
What is the Leadership Training Through Performing Arts Program and Why is it needed?
One must hold oneself accountable for their own action, if we as elders of the community fail to teach the next generation, how to act, how to communicate, how to use their brain who's fault is that? and if your not teaching them; who is?
OVERVIEW:
The Need:
The Headline reads. “Four people died by suicide on the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in 2023. The Washington State Patrol responded to 52 people who they suspected might die of suicide on the bridge last year. That’s an average of one a week.” The need for change was identified over ten years ago.
Just a look at the Academics in the Tacoma School District, it reads like a student, screaming for help, a lost child in the wood on their own, or a swimmer who has been bitten by a shark. Our children are dying from lack of opportunity and places to go. Often, some turn to drugs and gang to hide the abuse, and the pain longing to have some form of family and protection. Others get bullied, and picked on and commit suicide

“In the past year, 10 students in the Tacoma school district in Washington State have been shot. Others have survived human trafficking; battled homelessness; and dealt with substance use, physical and mental abuse, social media harassment, and bullying,” Superintendent Joshua Garcia said. Garcia said while testifying before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions on Thursday. (Libby Stanford reported on June 8, 2023, in Ed Weekly.)
