Welcome to St. James Episcopal Church!
Thank you for your interest in St James Episcopal Church! We are one of the oldest Protestant churches in southern New Mexico, with a colorful history and long record of service to our parishioners and the community in Dona Ana County. We invite you to peruse our website to discover more about this wonderful church community.
At St. James we are a welcoming community of Christians who gather for family worship in the Anglican Liturgical Tradition, to study the Word of God, to learn through excellent Bible preaching, and to serve the world with the love and truth of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Come and see!
In the Episcopal church, there is a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God's love for every human being. People of every kind serve as bishops, priests, deacons, lay ministers, and acolytes.
“We’re not a collection of dioceses and institutions, a collection of ways of doing things. We are one church, one church in Jesus Christ. God has given us the ability to share our resources and talents and invest in ministry happening on the ground—ministry in which everyday faithful people, Christians all around the world, are building communities, advocating for justice, and saving lives. Your ministries and your communities where you are doing the work of unbinding, of liberating, of being the risen body of Christ in the world. ”
PRESIDING BISHOP SEAN ROWE
