This year's theme encourages you to call attention to items in science that don't have a visual representation, and/or items that are not acknowledged. We encourage you to think of microscopic organisms, geophysics, atmospheric gases, forces, climate justice, and more.

Science provides so many important stories for us to tell that often get lost in terminology and data. Art provides a way to experience, understand, and where necessary act on these stories.
The world below, around or above us
Life in its many forms
A data visualization
Worlds beyond our reach
Environmental pollution (microplastics, air and water quality...)
Something we must not ignore
Craft your story visually through crocheting, knitting, quilting, weaving, felting, embroidery or any other textile art.
Submit a maximum of three photos and a title and description of your work no later than November 15, 2024. View the submission page for the required information. Note that you can submit up to two works for the display.
We will publish an anthology of poems, accompanied by Stitch Your Science textile artworks in 2025. Poets are invited to submit poems on the above theme by November 15th, 2024. Click here to SUBMIT poems (maximum three) to the project. Select poems will be shared along with textile artwork at the American Geophysical Union’s Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. in December, 2024.
