.UP UP AND AWAY
Welcome to my Blog and opinion space with my first article, as we head towards winter and very uncertain times.
Have we ever been in a position like we are today, where our political leaders, our judiciary and justice system are beset by a pending chaos that is causing many to feel like the country is drifting helpless on a sea of hopelessness?
The mere thought that the country is on the verge of running out of diesel, signals a meltdown of our essential infrastructure to come and this crisis appears to have no short-term answer and is scary indeed.
If there was ever a time when bi partisan political co-operation was needed in New Zealand, it is now, but who will lead us as the November 7th election looms and our coalition government implodes?
For my part it is clear that my life and experience have prepared me for this moment, that I am not alone, that truth is at hand, and it is embedded in our communities, in our nationhood, our culture and it is this that we shall trust like never before.
Can we reinvigorate our reality, or do we succumb, lose our way and our future as New Zealanders?
My personal challenges are no different to any other Kiwi including the protection of our families and whanau, justice for all, food security, our businesses, transport, energy, property, our livelihoods, and the essential services that make it possible for us all to exist together and survive as a coherent society.
We shall take our country back or will we become part of a dystopian future that is being planned by a faceless high-tech elite?
More about that later.
Have we and the world been here before?
The short answer is yes, we have, but not on the scale that is revealing itself today, in a high-tech world that is seriously conflicted and obviously remains dependent on oil.
The logistics of this are fragile indeed and we have all been taking it for granted.
During the coming months we can share our home truths, aspirations, and stories.
We can discuss how to return the control of fabulous New Zealand to its people and reform our innovative democracy.
This is bound to happen now.
Suffice to say, it all starts with you. Thanks for reading - and watch this space.
