The main idea behind this project is to highlight Paterson through portraits and urban photography. I’ve created portraits of friends and even strangers, each named after them and a word they used to describe Paterson. It was a really powerful moment for me to connect with everyone and hear their thoughts on why they chose the word they did. With my portrait as the focal point, I bring the story back to myself to show that these are the amazing people who make up Paterson.
