Abecedarius

When my mother gave me another copy of Edward Gorey's Gastlycrumb Tinies a few years ago, I remembered how much I loved it as a child. I brought it to my classroom hoping to excite a new generation. Even I was surprised when students actually started fighting over it. By the end of the year multiple students had committed the entire thing to heart.

Once I started using a communicative approach to teaching, I bought and used novellas, but wanted an option that bears up under that level of repetition. I have written this book with the dark sense of humor of my own quirky, imaginative, and sarcastic students.
