RESEARCH PRESENTATION
GUIDELINES 

Only on-site presentations will be given this year! Online presentations will not be available.

Participants

• Students and faculty members of KOSEN (College of Technology), Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT), and Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT)

• Students and faculty members of universities in Japan and overseas

• Companies and Research Institutes in Japan and overseas

Subject to Presentation

• Research and activities that lead to solutions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

• Research results related to the SDGs through joint research grants between KOSEN and NUT

• Research results related to the SDGs through graduation research and unique research, and individual research by faculty members

• Research related to the SDGs on KOSEN, universities, companies

• Activity or project related to the SDGs on industry-academia collaboration, and international collaboration

Awards

• The "Best Presentation Award" will be given to students for their excellent presentations that deepen the audience's interest

<For faculty members of National College of Technology and Nagaoka University of Technology, and Companies>

• We are planning to select the Best Presentation Award by votes from faculty members of KOSEN, NUT, and companies.

• We may ask you to serve as a judge.

• Only students are eligible for the "Excellent Presentation Award." 

Program

1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Poster presentation (First half)

2:00 p.m. - 2:20 p.m. Break / poster preparation for later half

2:20 p.m. - 3:20 p.m. Poster presentation (later half)

3:20 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.      Break / Photoshoot

Poster Presentation

Poster sessions will be divided into front and back halves based on the presentation number.

Poster Sessions will be divided into front and back halves based on the presentation number. Each section will have 60 minutes for each presentation. 

・   Please print your own poster (A0 size) and bring it with you on the day of the conference.

・   Please follow the directions at the venue and display your poster in the designated area.

・   Language: English

Other Notes

Presenters will be asked to place the poster at the venue according to speaker number. 

Speaker numbers will be announced by e-mail around middle of October.

Abstract    (All participants)

• Format: Abstract (Template: word, pdf, regulations apply, logo required)

• File format: PDF only, 10 MB or less

• File name: "abstract. Name of presenter", e.g. "abstract. Taro GIGAKU"

Please check your abstract carefully before submitting, as resubmission after submission will not be accepted.

・For students, please make sure to get advice from the academic supervisor for the contents of your presentation

・Your research doesn't have to be completed. It could be a report of your progress or introduction of your idea, etc.......

・Your presentation number will be informed around middle of October.

・Call for Full Manuscripts for Transactions on GIGAKU (Optional)

Research Presentation in 10th STI-Gigaku 2025, can submit full manuscripts in English to be published in the “Transactions on GIGAKU”, a Peer-reviewed online journal, which will be published after the Conference.
