Festival

"A taste of Greece and the Middle East, under the Sonoma County sun."

October 13, 2023 - RE: Festival Postponed

We are so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and understanding as we have postponed our festival originally scheduled for this weekend.

Thank you all for your kindness, empathy, well wishes and prayers for peace. We are so blessed to be a part of this beautiful and strong community.

In light of these changes, we will be hosting a bake sale on Sunday, October 15th from 12-2pm, as a small, yet meaningful way to continue fostering a sense of togetherness. We will have Baklava and Greek Butter Cookies (Kourabiedes and Koulourakia "Anise Twists"), made with so much love by our ladies auxiliary.

Once again, thank you for your warm support and understanding, and look forward to rescheduling our event. If you have social media, please be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram to stay connected @stgeorgefestival. ❤️

October 11, 2023 - Festival Postponed

Dear fellow community members,

It is with much consideration and deep regret to notify you that we are canceling our 15th annual Greek and Middle Eastern Food Festival of St. George Orthodox Church in Rohnert Park.

Out of respect for the loss of lives, and sympathy for those who have been affected directly or indirectly as a result of the current crisis in the Middle East, we do not feel it would be appropriate to proceed with our happy celebration of our culture at this time.

We appreciate all the love and support as we know many were looking forward to joining us this weekend. We look forward to rescheduling this event at a future date when times are brighter and we can all celebrate together. Peace to all.

God Bless,

St. George Orthodox Church
