Welcome! My name is Maureen Stewart. This e-Portfolio is the culmination of my efforts in the Master's of Secondary Education in Humanities at Grand Canyon University. My endorsement is in 6-12 English Language Arts. I have been working in Education for almost 15 years starting in higher education with a background in TESOL and Librarianship. I've worked at the high school level for 4 years. I started as a para and have since worked as a librarian, taught English 101, English 201, English 301 and College Writing. I also serve on the 9th grade success team helping to put interventions in place for at risk students.  These skills combined with my secondary teaching certification give me a strong foundation to help students transition to their next steps in life.
