My doctoral thesis examines the conduct of macroeconomic policies in the CEMAC region. It focuses on the constraints faced by a monetary union operating under a fixed exchange rate regime, exposed to external shocks, commodity dependence, and weak monetary policy transmission.

The thesis combines empirical and theoretical methods to study the effectiveness of monetary policy frameworks, the effects of monetary policy on macroeconomic stability, and the role of dominant currency pricing in monetary policy transmission.
