SteveTex Design - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Preoteasa-Nagy Istvan, operating as SteveTex Design ("SteveTex Design", "we", "us", or "our"), handles information when you use our mobile applications and Wear OS watch faces (collectively, the "Apps").

Information We Collect and Process

Account and Personal Information

Our Apps do not require users to create an account.

We do not ask users to provide their name, email address, phone number, postal address, payment information, or other direct personal identifiers in order to use our Apps.

Certain Apps may, however, process limited information when required for a specific feature, as described below.

Glyphix PRO - Motion Glance Weather

Glyphix PRO includes an optional feature called Motion Glance Weather.

When the user enables Motion Glance Weather and grants location permission, the App accesses the device's approximate location in order to retrieve weather information relevant to the user's area.

Glyphix PRO does not require precise location for this functionality.

Approximate location is used solely for providing weather information and is not used by SteveTex Design for advertising, marketing, analytics, profiling, or tracking users.

MET Norway Weather Service

Weather information is provided using the MET Norway Weather API operated by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.

To request weather information, approximate geographic coordinates are transmitted from the user's device to the MET Norway Weather API.

Because the request is made over the Internet, MET Norway also receives the IP address associated with the network connection. MET Norway may process and retain IP addresses, geographic coordinates included in API requests, and related access-log information according to its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

SteveTex Design does not sell location information.

SteveTex Design does not use location information for advertising or marketing.

SteveTex Design does not operate a server that receives the user's Motion Glance location information. Weather requests are made directly between Glyphix PRO and the MET Norway Weather API.

Local Weather Cache

Glyphix PRO may temporarily store approximate coordinates and downloaded weather information locally on the user's device so that the weather feature can operate efficiently and unnecessary requests to the weather service can be avoided.

This local information is used only for Motion Glance Weather functionality.

The locally stored Motion Glance Weather information is not synchronized to a SteveTex Design server.

Users can stop location use by disabling Motion Glance Weather or selecting another Motion Glance mode. Local application data can also be removed by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

Wear OS Watch Faces and Complications

Our Wear OS Watch Faces may request access to information already available through Wear OS complications or system services, such as:

Step Count

Heart Rate

Battery information

Date and time information

Other complications selected by the user

This information is accessed only when necessary to display the complication selected by the user.

SteveTex Design does not receive or store Wear OS complication information on its servers.

Audio Processing

Some SteveTex Design Apps may include features that react to audio, such as music visualization.

Where such functionality is available, audio is processed locally on the device for the purpose of generating the visual effect.

SteveTex Design does not receive or store audio recordings through this functionality unless explicitly stated otherwise within the relevant App.

Diagnostic Information

Some Apps may generate diagnostic information locally on the device to assist with troubleshooting.

Diagnostic information is not automatically uploaded to SteveTex Design.

If an App provides an option to share diagnostic information, transmission occurs only after the user explicitly chooses to share or send the diagnostic information using an available sharing or email application.

Users should review the contents of diagnostic information before choosing to send it.

How We Use Information

Information processed by our Apps is used only where necessary to provide the functionality requested by the user, including displaying watch complications, providing Motion Glance Weather information, generating visual effects, maintaining local caches, and troubleshooting application problems.

We do not use Motion Glance location information for advertising, behavioral profiling, or marketing.

Sharing of Information

Glyphix PRO shares approximate geographic coordinates with the MET Norway Weather API when necessary to obtain weather information requested through Motion Glance Weather.

Network information such as the user's IP address is also necessarily visible to MET Norway when the device connects directly to its service.

Other locally processed information is not shared with third parties by SteveTex Design unless the user explicitly initiates a sharing action or disclosure is required by applicable law.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect information processed by our Apps.

Communication between Glyphix PRO and the MET Norway Weather API is performed using encrypted HTTPS connections.

However, no method of electronic communication, device storage, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not specifically directed at children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly request names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other direct personal information from children.

If you believe that information relating to a child has been provided to SteveTex Design inappropriately, please contact us.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide rights relating to personal data, including rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection.

SteveTex Design does not maintain user accounts or a server-side database containing Motion Glance location information.

Information stored locally by an App can generally be removed by disabling the relevant functionality, clearing the application's data, or uninstalling the application.

Information processed independently by third-party services such as MET Norway is subject to the privacy practices and legal obligations of those service providers.

Third-Party Services

Certain features may depend on third-party services.

Glyphix PRO Motion Glance Weather currently uses the MET Norway Weather API operated by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute.

Third-party services operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies. We encourage users to review those policies when using features that rely on external services.

Free and Paid Apps

SteveTex Design offers both free and paid applications.

Some free Apps may contain advertising, while paid Apps may be provided without advertising.

Where an App uses an advertising provider or another third-party SDK that processes user data, the applicable data practices must be disclosed for that specific App through its privacy disclosures and Google Play Data safety information.

Motion Glance location information is not used by SteveTex Design for advertising.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our Apps, services, legal requirements, or data-handling practices change.

When this Privacy Policy is updated, the Effective Date shown at the top of this document will also be updated.

Users are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
