Steve's Scholars Tehipite Middle School

Steve Scholars is an opportunity that only Tehiptie Middle school is able to offer. This opportunity was first created 6 years ago. Murry and Francine Farber lost their son, Steve. He had passed away due to cancer. Steve was very well successful in life. Before he died he had wrote on his will saying he'd want his fortune given to the lowest income school in Fresno Unified School District. Which was Tehiptie Middle School.
The are many requirements for Steve Scholars. For example, you need to be present at least 75% or 270 days at Tehitpie Middle School. Also, If you are a new student you must be enrolled by the last Semester of 8th grade. You must have a 95% cumulative attendance rate. Another requirement to participate in Steve scholars is to have a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
Also, you must have a certain amount of community service hours. For seventh grade you must have at least 10 hours however if your in 8th grade you must have at least 20 hours. Entering high school you still have to maintain these requirements until graduation to be eligible.
Requirements
Steve's Scholar was first created 5 years ago by the Farber family. They had chosen a school in need and that school was Tehptie Middle school. Their fund came from the Farber family and Steve Farber their only son who died of cancer.
When Steve had written his will he had wanted his money to be used for the most low income school in Fresno. Fresno Unified decided that Tehiptie Middle school would be the benefactor of this large endowment.
In addition Steve scholars has some good opportunities. For example, Steve scholars has the Kick-off event for student and families. Another Steve Scholar event is the Steve scholar luncheon. Field trips are also given to student who are eligible for Steve Scholars. Student's can also participate in cultural art activities. Another positive affect is students get recognized for being a Steve Scholar throughout high school and middle school.
