Afternoon ladies, I’ve been going through our fixtures and we have 7 matches in August and 3 in September. There is no room for rearranging and some of our games are close. So please get your names down (August sheets are on the board).

If any member is interested in playing in any of the Men's, Ladies or Mixed triples competitions, which will take place on a future Sunday, please add your name to the notice on the competitions noticeboard in the pavilion.

🟢 Ladies AS/EP match v Buckhurst Hill re-arranged

The AS/EP match v Buckhurst Hill due to be played on 25 June has been re-arranged to Friday 14th August 2:30pm . Ladies may have to park outside the ground and be quiet going into clubhouse as they have a bridge card game that afternoon.

🟢 Thursday 4s v Chingford 25 June cancelled

The Thursday 4s match v Chingford due to be played on Thursday 25 June has been cancelled due to the extreme heat. A new date for the fixture of Thursday 10 September has been suggested but is yet to be confirmed.

🟢 Pick & Play

There has been a slight change of time for Pick and Play, which will start, Monday 1st June. Members should arrive at the Club for 3:00 to start play at 3:30. This time will continue throughout the Season.

🟢 Care of the Green

Roll ups, Triples & new players should only be playing on rinks 1, 2, 6 & 7.  Rink 4 can be used only if there are too many teams. Rinks 3,4 & 5 are used for Match Games only.

Each week you should be playing in the correct direction. Please refer to the book inside the Club, which shows what rinks you can use and which way you MUST bowl.

This will keep our Green in good condition and make Steve O'Brien very happy as he continues to maintain the green to his usual high standards.

We are looking for volunteers to open our Club on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 to 2:30. If we get enough volunteers, I estimate that you will only be required to open up one day, every two weeks. Please let me know if you are available.

🟢 Competitions will be 18 Ends

After consultation with both the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Captains and in line with Bowls England directive, it's been agreed that all this Season's Competitions will be 18 not 21 ends, except the Singles which will stay at first to 21 points. Please ignore the wording on the Competition Entry Forms. Thank you.
