Unfortunately, we are unable to organise a closing drive.
Instead, we will be open from 14:10 to 16:00 for anyone who wishes to have a roll-up.
Everyone welcome.
Sunday 20th September is our Clubs Party Day.
Club opens at 11:00 am, there will be a few fun games starting at 11:30.
Lunchtime will be roughly around 13:00 Please remember to bring along food to share with other members on the buffet table.
The afternoon is social and will finish at 17:00.
A massive thank you from Rob Dunn for all the generous donations received today from the members of the club. Rob will be running in support of Blind Veterans UK and although he has undergone many years of leg operations himself, he is determined to complete the course. Members support means a great deal.Â
There has been a slight change of time for Pick and Play, which will start, Monday 1st June. Members should arrive at the Club for 3:00 to start play at 3:30. This time will continue throughout the Season.
Roll ups, Triples & new players should only be playing on rinks 1, 2, 6 & 7. Rink 4 can be used only if there are too many teams. Rinks 3,4 & 5 are used for Match Games only.
Each week you should be playing in the correct direction. Please refer to the book inside the Club, which shows what rinks you can use and which way you MUST bowl.
This will keep our Green in good condition and make Steve O'Brien very happy as he continues to maintain the green to his usual high standards.
We are looking for volunteers to open our Club on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 to 2:30. If we get enough volunteers, I estimate that you will only be required to open up one day, every two weeks. Please let me know if you are available.
A gentle reminder please, no mobile phones on the green.Â
A reminder to Captains of the day, to collect green fees please.Â
After consultation with both the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Captains and in line with Bowls England directive, it's been agreed that all this Season's Competitions will be 18 not 21 ends, except the Singles which will stay at first to 21 points. Please ignore the wording on the Competition Entry Forms. Thank you.
