Today in class we talked about how to get information from motion graphs. We practiced looking at position and velocity vs. time graphs at determining where the object is speeding up and slowing down.

Today in class we had a substitute teacher. We worked on graphs and tracks.com to get 20 challenge stars. Once we completed 20 stars we sent a screenshot to Mr. Stevens

Today in class we practiced drawing graphs of x vs. t, v vs. t and a vs. t and making motion diagrams for balls rolling along a track.

Today we continued to work on the buggy lab

Today in class we worked on the tumble buggy lab. The focus of this lab is making good graphs of motion for constant velocity cars and using graphs and equations to predict what the cars will do.

Today in class we dropped a pumpkin out of the third story window to calculate the acceleration due to gravity. After this we threw a pumpkin down out of the window and used out acceleration of 9.8m/s/s to calculate the initial velocity.

Today in class we talked about what information can be found from motion graphs and reviewed the Tick Tick Tick lab.

After this we used motion graphs to derive the three kinematic (Earth, Wind & Fire) equations

Today in class we wend over the WebAssign homework format and started on the tick tick tick lab.

Today in class we finished up working on the vector packet and learned the first physics equations. We defined frame of reference, distance, displacement, speed, average velocity and average acceleration.
