Back in 2009, Steven founded the non-profit National Asian Artists Project with Baayork Lee and Nina Zoie Lam. After many years of being in the business of show, they realized that there were challenges facing the Asian-American community in the American theater, and they needed to do something about it. After several years of working together on various projects, they worked to incorporate NAAP with a mission to showcase the works of professional and amateur theater artists of Asian descent through performance, education, and outreach.
