Starting this fall, I'll be an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of North Dakota. Previously, I was a Fields Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at Carleton University, a postdoc at the University of Western Ontario and the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) at Brown University, and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester. Before all that, I received my PhD at the University of Toronto under the supervision of Paul Selick.
My research interests are in algebraic topology. More specifically, I like thinking about problems in unstable homotopy theory, toric topology and interactions with combinatorial commutative algebra.
My Erdős number is 3. (Thanks, Fred!)
Here is my CV. (last updated: Apr. 2026)
Recent/Upcoming Activities:
I'll be attending the BIRS workshop Toric Topology and Polyhedral Products Collaborative Network in Banff, Alberta, July 26-31.
I'm giving a talk at the 2026 CMS Summer Meeting Session on Homotopy Theory in Saint John, New Brunswick, June 6-7.
As part of the Focus Program on Algebraic Topology in memory of Fred Cohen, I ran a mini Graduate School on Polyhedral Products at the Fields Institute, July 2-4, 2025.
